Santa Margherita
& Portofino, Liguria

Our wedding location, La Cervara, is situated between the famous Portofino and the charming, yet less well-known Santa Margherita Ligure—a beautiful port town with a lively summer atmosphere and a variety of accommodation options. Both towns lie at the heart of the Italian Riviera, a region renowned for its dramatic coastal cliffs, Mediterranean vegetation, and glamorous seaside villages.

How to Get There

To reach Portofino, you will pass through Santa Margherita Ligure, as Portofino itself is quite small and busy with day tourists, offering less nightlife.

The closest airports to the area are:

1. Genoa International Airport (GOA)
2. Milan Malpensa (MXP)
3. Pisa International Airport (PSA) in Tuscany.

We’ve provided links to a few return flights, but please remember there will be a journey from the airport to your destination in Santa Margherita and Portofino, either by car or train. We’ve included options for transportation below as well. Should you need any travel assistance or help planning your trip around the wedding, we’ve also provided the contact details of a travel agent who would be delighted to assist you.

ATTIRE GUIDE

WEDDING DAY

It’s a wedding day you’ll never forget,
So let’s make it legendary with Black Tie EXTRA 🖤✨

A black tie event isn’t just a dress code—it’s a marker of significance. Think awards nights, milestone celebrations, opulent weddings, or lavish balls. These are moments you’ll remember forever, so leave no detail to chance.

What is 'Black Tie Extra' exactly....

For Women

The rule is elegance with a side of drama.

Don’t be fooled by the term “black tie.” Your dress doesn’t have to be black—it’s more about the vibe than the color.

Jewel tones like emerald green, sapphire blue, and ruby red are stunning choices, as are metallics like gold, silver, and champagne for a touch of shimmer. If you’re feeling bold, opt for a statement print or embellishments like sequins or beading to stand out in the crowd.

The elegance to match men’s sharp tuxedos or refined dinner jackets. Long dresses are the go-to—think below-the-knee or floor-length gowns that command attention. The fabrics? Pure sophistication. Velvet for opulence, silk for that liquid shimmer, satin for

For Men

Bottom line? Black tie is all about making a statement: polished, poised, and unforgettable.

Shirt: Go for a crisp white dress shirt with a Marcella front—a structured cotton weave that screams elegance—and a wing collar, perfect for your black bow tie. Double cuffs are a must, so have your cufflinks ready to shine.

Trousers: Keep it formal with black, well-fitted trousers. A single satin or braided stripe down the outer leg adds a touch of classic sophistication. Naturally tapered for that sleek silhouette.

Shoes: Black patent leather shoes are the gold standard, but if you’re feeling bold, velvet slippers can add flair (and a bit of swagger—no shame in that).

Jacket: The quintessential dinner jacket is non-negotiable. Opt for barathea wool in black, with satin lapels, buttons, and pocket trims. Timeless and sharp.

Tie: Your bow tie is your statement piece, so make it count. Black is classic, but midnight blue—a Cannes-approved ultra-dark shade—can look even more striking under flash photography. White bow ties, however, are strictly for white tie affairs.

Waistcoat or Cummerbund: Choose one, never both. A waistcoat should match your jacket perfectly, while a cummerbund keeps things sleek and structured.

WELCOME EVENT

Our all-white welcome party—a vibe you won't want to miss. While we lock in the final details, you work on nailing that flawless fit. Let's make it iconic. ✨
